How I can help you

My aim is to work with you to create a custom-made, personalised, evidence based, therapy approach that puts you right at the centre and equips you to make meaningful changes to your mood and wellbeing.

What is a Clinical Psychologist?

We all have patterns in the way we think, feel and act. We have learnt these patterns throughout our life, in response to our experiences, in order to try and stay safe and succeed. Some of the patterns we learn are really helpful but others can end up getting in our way or harming us. As a Clinical Psychologist I aim to help you understand your individual patterns, where they might have come from and how to make changes that benefit our health and wellbeing.

Flexible.

Clinical Psychologists are trained in a range of therapeutic models and approaches that create meaningful change. This means that we can find the right approach to fit you. Other professionals might be experts in one single approach which is great if that approach works for you but can be tricky if it doesn’t. Since Clinical Psychologists are experts in multiple approaches it means that if you aren’t enjoying one then that’s fine we can switch to another. Rather than having to fit in a box we make a box to fit you!

Professional.

Clinical Psychologist is a protected title meaning that as a profession we are accountable to a high standard of work. To become a Clinical Psychologist you must complete extensive training and meet high professional standards in delivering evidence based support. Clinical Psychologists are accountable to the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP) meaning that we are monitored and regulated to ensure that we provide safe, high quality care. We are committed to keeping up to date with current research and treatments. Clinical Psychologists are required to have regular supervision to ensure that the therapy being provided is of the highest quality.

Put simply, by choosing a Clinical Psychologist you are choosing an expert in the field of mental health and wellbeing.
